Cornerstone Sanctuary is based at 20,000 strong Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas and have featured on US television over many years, often supporting ministries across the country. This album features a number of Southern gospel guests including Aaron Crabb, Amanda Crabb, Tanya Goodman Sykes and Cornerstone's founder John C Hagee. The collection opens with the first of two gospel-influenced tracks "Got Me Some Joy", the other is the infectious "Victory Is Mine" which finishes the album. Apart from the slick, clean feel of the collection, the other thing that strikes you is the contrasting styles amongst the 12 tracks contained here. There are the powerful worship songs (the largest group on the album) such as "Glorify" and "Holy Holy God Almighty", the modern style of "Be Welcome Here" and to my mind the best track on the album, "Your Great Name" with its powerful, emotional vocals, and the "Gaither style" of "My God Is Real". There is a small danger the collection loses its focus by trying to appeal to all musical tastes, but to me this actually demonstrates the strength and the quality of what today's best choirs can offer.
