Having started his career as an R&B singer and songwriter, Pennsylvania-based Conrad has returned to his gospel roots for his debut solo album. With award winning producer Steven Ford at the helm this is a smooth and accomplished recording. Conrad wrote all the tracks and he certainly has a way with gospel, turning out some great tracks, particularly the single "Momma Prayed For Me" and the reflective opener "Amazing" that really draws you into the album. While it can sound a bit formulaic - at least four songs start with a drum roll or piano intro - the quality of the musicianship and the production and arrangements mean that it does stand out from the crowd and with Conrad's smooth vocals it is a very easy album to listen to. This then is an elegant start to Conrad's gospel ministry and is well worth listening out for.
