Hailing from Quebec, and featuring members of Figure Four, The Comeback Kid's 'Turn It Around' has a definite old school punkish feel to it. Opening with "All In A Year" and its opening shout of "Where have you gone?", the clean vocals are quite refreshing to the sound most hardcore bands use today, with its definite singalong moments all the way through this album. After two or three listens quite a few of these songs will drill their way into your skull and won't leave easily. Most of the tracks on 'Turn It Around' clock in at around the two to two and a half minute mark, with a total running time of just over 28 minutes, so it's a bit on the short side, which is a shame as it's a very solid debut. Recommended for fans of Stretch Arm Strong, even if it is over before it's begun. Almost.
