On his website, Chris refers to his songs for this album as "like taking snapshots of life." It's arguably an accurate summary of the themes running through the lyrics of ‘Run The Earth...’, with a wistful, nostalgic air to the songs where Chris looks back to his early years. With solid musical support including Out Of The Grey's Scott Dente on guitars, it's a summery and uplifting album for the most part, with the songs usually tending towards either radio-friendly guitar pop-rock (the Bryan Adams-esque single "The Other Side Of The Radio", "Smile") or folky acoustic guitar/percussion-driven numbers (the charming "Nonny Nonny" - my personal favourite - and the infectious closer, "Circle Up"). Perhaps the perfect soundtrack to a glorious August afternoon, going for a drive with the sunroof open, or lying on a hillside looking for shapes in the clouds - one gets the feeling it must've worked for Chris this time.

I was working part time at a music store when this cd was
released; I happen to get the pre-release cd copy. It was
early April 2003 when my eyes gazed at the stack of cd's for
employee take; this cd was in the stack. I immediately fell
in love with "Untitled Hymn (come to JESUS); personally I do
not like the main title for this song, in all actuality it
is not untitled. I have the video for the opening song
"The Other Side of the Radio", really like this one. The
song "Nonny Nonny" contains the title words for this cd. I
really like the majority of songs on this cd;all in all it's
a pretty good one to have. GOD Bless!- Don
