Reviewed by Paul Wright The smiley picture of Chris which graces this happy, orange, three-track single gives you a good idea of the style and content. The title track's intro reminds me of "This Is Your Land" by Simple Minds, with additional mandolins and follows the lush, bright yet dilute quality of the rest of the CD, with optimistic lyrics complementing breezy instruments. The stand-out track for me is "Ordinary People" which is as close as soft pop gets to the rhythm and blues. With lyrics full of gratifying aphorisms, a happy, energetic guitar riff and a catchy "love, love, love" line in the chorus, this track is hard to get out of your head. Lastly, the older "Wonderful World" is an end-of-gig encore job with just keyboards and soaring, balladic vocals. All in all, this CD single will appeal to you if you like music which "just makes you happy", however, Verve and Radiohead fans will certainly find the lyrics far too trite, like "build a new tomorrow/Living for today".
