The people in their record company have got a lot of faith in Chris Kuti and Conrad Johnson. This album represents some substantial financial investment. The quality of production is top notch with all the tracks being punchy pop rock songs suited to getting a stadium bouncing. The new duo even have an accompanying DVD documentary of how they hooked up and recorded the album. The songwriting has benefited from numerous quality co-writers such as Big Daddy Weave frontman Mike Weaver, Andrew Osenga (Chris Tomlin), Doug McKelvey (Switchfoot) and Clint Lagerberg (Point Of Grace). Despite Chris and Conrad both being worship leaders in different churches in Lakeland, Florida, the tracks are more inspirational-tinged rather than songs suited to corporate or personal worship. The lack of explicit scriptural references drag down some lyrics. If Jesus hadn't been mentioned at the end of the opening track, the Cross Rhythms turntable hit "You're The One" (which he isn't on the corresponding inlay lyrics) you would assume that the love song was about a girl. Although there are references to "Saviour" and "Hallelujah" on other songs one can't help feeling that this glossily produced product has been spiritually dumbed down. But, no one can deny that this is quality radio-friendly pop rock.
