The South Carolina pop rocker's second album takes up where the first left off and moves forward with some leaps and bounds. The sound is definitely heavier and with a much better balance of up tempo to slower numbers and use of pace changes within songs. Starting with piano and strings the first track, "Castaway" quickly shows it colours as the drums and distorted rhythm guitars crash in. After showing how well the do handle the up tempo numbers, Chasen then go on to give the power ballad a great outing with "On And On". With some strong lyrics covering lots of ground from the early death of friends to God provision in all circumstances and some great use of keyboard and strings to fill out the sound the album is a very strong and uplifting rock outing.

Product Description
Things that last are often those that are allowed to grow naturally: organic talent that develops over time, nurtured along by the love of family and friends, spread by means of a grassroots effort and good old-fashioned word of mouth.
That is the story of the band Chasen.
With gifts honed by nearly a decade as a worship pastor, Chasen Challahan, lead singer for Chasen, built a following one person at a time while simultaneously shaping his craft as a songwriter.
The band is poised to continue that growth with That Was Then, This Is Now, a melodically-driven, pop-rock musical journey that includes both upbeat tracks and worshipful moments with a clear directional focus towards God.
