This welcome CD collection features the increasingly popular Charlie Landsborough. Once a navvy, postman, and school teacher, this gent deserves every golden ounce of his musical success. These ditties represent the cream of this inspirational troubadour's songwriting and performing ability. What a tremendous impact many of his self-penned ditties have had over the past decade! Previous albums have formed the foundation of his well-deserved, aspiring career in inspirational country music. Surprisingly, he is not the author of all the songs on this project! When he writes songs such as "What Colour Is The Wind", "My Forever Friend", "Heaven Knows" and "No Time At All", it makes me wonder why he has to dip into other peoples' repertoire. That's not to decry this excellent album with quality songs penned by John Prine, Par Alger, Kate Wolf, Mark Knopfler and such. Clearly, Charlie has a good ear for a song. As the new Third Millennium dawns it will hail Charlie Landsborough as Britain's leading inspirational country-styled songwriter, I have no doubt.
