As its title suggests, this hefty 57 song collection from Cedarmont Kids is aimed at toddlers and is, in fact, a repackaging of three albums 'Songs Of America', 'Lullabies' and 'Toddler Action Songs'. 'Songs Of America' doesn't miss a chance to ensure that Uncle Sam's newest generation gets off to a patriotic start in life with kindergarten versions of "The Star-Spangled Banner", "America, The Beautiful" and "You're A Grand Old Flag". Much better is the peaceful 'Lullabies' disc which is pleasant enough - largely due to the fact that's it's the only one that contains adult vocals - and the makers have taken care to include Christian-themed tunes like "Evening Hymn" and "All Night, All Day" alongside more perennial numbers such as "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and Brahms' "Slumber Song". Lastly, 'Toddler Action Songs' aims to have your little ones on their feet with fun versions of "The Ants Go Marching" and "I've Been Working On The Railroad" featuring next to passable renditions of Christian numbers like "When The Saints Go Marching In", "God Said It" and "What A Mighty God We Serve". If you can get past the devotion to all things American in disc one and the occasionally saccharine kids vocals elsewhere, this is a reasonable, economically priced children's collection aided by the inclusion of split track versions of most songs to allow young listeners to sing along karaoke style as well as activity pages and expanded lyrics on the enhanced part of the CDs.
