Reviewed by Simon Eden The Cedarmont website claims that Cedarmont produce "The No1 selling Christian Children's music in the world", but assumes that the USA is the centre of the universe. This DVD appears to be a compilation of other products, such as 'Songs Of America' and 'Worship For Kids' and the result is an attempt to subliminally convert our Christian children into patriotic Americans. As this is a kids' DVD, it was road-tested on Issy, 6, Ben, 4, and Tom, 2, who all loved it. It is loud, colourful, and had lots of familiar songs with actions for them to join in with. Suitable for ages 18 months to six years, there are obvious similarities to the American Purple Dinosaur 'Barney'. However, their parents hated it. If you want your kids to start acting like cheesy American kids with false smiles and patronising grins, singing "America America" and developing America accents, then this is so for you. If your plan is to bring up your kids knowing biblical truth then you must be able to do better. If this DVD set was intended for International release, then the inclusion of the nationalistic patriotism is clearly misplaced. Otherwise your kids will grow up thinking Jesus is American, and the promised land is the United States.
