18 year old Caroline Alexander bursts onto the scene with a three-track single that offers an alternative to all those nice girlies recording pap in the charts! Forget Billie, Britney or even their Christian equivalents. How about a burst of energy to clear out the sugar content of so much pop music? Vocally, she's totally committed with a gutsy voice that works well on the yibey "Embarrassment" as well as when she's letting out all the stops of her faithful but brilliant cover version of The Banshees' "Hong Kong Garden". She equals all the power of the original, whilst giving it a new millennium grungy feel. But it's on the excellent Take The Blame" that Caroline's attitude comes spitting out. Spiky, uncompromising music steeped in rocky energy with a catchy hook and not a hint of sugar in sight. This is a stunning debut and Caroline has Talent with a capital T!
