The old joke says "The world is divided into two categories: those who divide people into two categories, and those who don't." In CCM terms, the two categories should be "Those who can make a decent album with zilch budget, and those who can't." This tape demonstrates that Carol & Colin Owen are in the first category. Then, wonder of wonders, I see the words "This tape can be freely copied." Now there are some tapes so dire that I wouldn't dream of inflicting them on an unsuspecting world - this is not one of them. Production quality is very good, despite the preponderance on some tracks of synth sounds; Carol has a good, clear, on-pitch voice, and the songs are competently written and cliche-free without being earth-shatteringly innovative. The lack of budget shows in the basic packaging, but my ears tell me that the money's being spent where it matters, on the tape. Worth investigating.
