The Grammy, Stellar and Dove Award nominee has recorded plenty of tracks in the past but I would suggest that the opener here is his best ever. "Holy" makes to be a worship song with a dance music groove - never an easy feat to pull off - and with a sinuously soulful vocal from Canton is a wonderful celebration of God's holiness. "Let's Get Started" is almost as good while "No One Greater" with a hot rap from Ryan Horton has to be one of the best rap worship cuts you'll hear this or any year. Talking of guests, a surprise one is CCM's John Waller and his and Canton's voices work well on the mid tempo "You Are" while others making telling contributions to this genre-bending set are rappers Uncle Reece and D-Maub and modern gospel's Darlene McCoy and Isaac Carree. All in all, 'God City' is an album which deserves to sell to believers, black or white, urban or CCM, dance or pop.
