This CD quickly passed my acid test: putting it on while doing some work, by the second play I was singing along as if I'd known these songs forever. Nashville band Building 429 (the name comes from Ephesians 4:29) take as their template the post-grunge lite of Third Day and sweeten it with strings and piano. They're a young band which makes both for passion and some lyrical naïveté: even the greatest theologians have shied away from defining God's glory ('Glory Defined') and the post-9/11 song 'Spirit Lives On' was written the day after the atrocities but now could do with further reflection. However these are minor carps. Don't be surprised if they come to a UK Christian festival next year: your youth group will be in the front row, and maybe you should be, too.

I had initially first seen a video by this new group of ccm talent prior to purchasing their debut summer cd.
I just love the starter song title "Glory Defined" the lyrics are awesome, great powerful ccm. I'll admit they're sound is a little too rockin' for me. I do like their group name inspiration, from Ephesians 4:29. CD title song "Space in Between Us" is so well crafted in style and lyrics, a top cd favorite: it takes me back to pop group Dave Matthews Band hit,"A Space Between".
I love the lyrics to "Shadow of Angels". "No One Else Knows" tones the music down (I smile), reminds me of the story the prodigal. "Spirit Lives On" is written in remembrance of 9/11; how befitting: a nice closer.
