Steve Earle called Mr Miller, "Probably the best country singer in the world" in this month's MOJO. In fact, he's such a fan of Buddy that Bud and missus (Julie Miller) are at present opening for Earle on his world tour and Buddy is now officially one of the Dukes (Earle's band) as well as Emmy Lou Harris' guitar player and, according to a recent Nashville publication, he is one of the I00 coolest people in Music City. Not bad, eh? 'Poison Love' is Buddy's best record to date and with a muso list of who's who in Nashville what would you expect. Emmy, Steve, Sam Bush, Tammy Rodgers, Al Perkins and of course Julie make this one of Nashville's finest CDs last year. Standout tracks are "100 Little Bombs", a harrowing song about land mines, and "Don't Tell Me", a practically perfect country love song. Foot tappin" and heartbreakin' country at its best. Who am I to argue with Steve Earle?
