The professionally acoustic arrangements give a simplistic feel to the hymns which works well. The music varies from the blues style instrumental of "How Great Thou Art" through country and almost Hawaiian sound on "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" to the line dancing potential of "Glory Zone". "Praise To The Lord The Almighty" is one of the great hymns for church organ, but the organ is more than adequately replaced here by guitars and a very nice sax solo, yet throughout a feeling of simplicity is maintained. There are no real flaws in this album and folk rock enthusiasts will be intrigued by the contributions from various members of Fairport Convention. Throughout though Bryn's professionalism and distinctive style make it an enjoyable listen though not particularly a memorable one.
