As the title suggests this is an altogether brighter chapter in the life of Bryan Duncan. It's his 10th release and follows hot on the heels of two critically acclaimed albums "Mercy" and "Slow Revival", which were both born out of struggle, pain and reflected a time in which the artist fought hard against depression. Blue Skies' is a fusion of jazz, soul and pop finely blended to create a tasty morsel indeed. Ballads include "Tell Me Where You Are". "Dying To Meet You" and "Aster This Day Is Gone" (the opening bars of which will remind you very much of a famous Tears For Fears single) and all showcase Duncan's vocal talents. While the more upbeat "A Whisper Heard" and "Joy Is A Singable Thing" all get the toes tapping with consummate ease. Nice to see a smiling Bryan Duncan on the cover notes and this happy looking dude carries that feel good factor over to his disc. Well worth the asking price.

Bryan's solo career is soaring high, wtg Bryan!
This project was recorded in 1996, but not released until
about mid February 1997. I just love this cd.
Bryan's vocals shine so crisp and clear to hear.
The title song kicks off the set, it is an amazing song!
Bryan co-wrote every song but one. Well known Dan Posthuma
produced this wonderful ccm creation. TOP NOTCH!
This is another one of those cds filled with great styled
songs, hard to zero in on top favorites.
"One Touch Away" is like mercy and truth kissing; I am so
taken away by the song! thanx Bryan.
The lyrics to "Dying to Meet YOU" will reach down into the
heart of every listener; the lyrics and music are a perfect
match. "A Whisper Heard Around the World", what an awesome
song title.
For all who feel lost and those gone astray, "Tell ME Where
You Are" is especially for them.
And if you're in need of a lifter upper, "Joy is a Singable
Thing" this song is for you.
"Take Another Look At Me" has that familiar sound of Bryan
we have come to know in the CCM dome.
The cd closer "Take Heart" are a believer's heartfelt words
to leave the listener, to take along on this journey. The
bgvs are awesome, thank you Bryan.
I love this song! and just when you think you have heard the
last song, another reprise of "Dying to Meet YOU" is
heard.
It looks like the 90's era has been good for Bryan, he has
recorded some great ccm material with this project , "Mercy"
& "Slow Revival". I urge you to buy this cd if you don't
have it! GOD Bless! -Don
