The Brooklyn Tabernacles have been around for years and used to put out albums which were pretty close to a black gospel choir sound. But now under the direction of veteran Southern gospel/MOR man Lari Goss they've settled for a seamless-smooth praise sound not dissimilar to the Maranatha Singers. There's value-for-money on the CD, 17 songs no less, most of the material being new compositions by executive producer Carol Cymbala which seems at least as good as most of the songs Hosanna Music offer us. Worth looking into.
