Bride formed in 1983 and now with their final four piece line-up, they release their last album. During their distinguished musical career they received four Dove Awards from the GMA, as well as a song featured on a computer game! Here, its business as usual with heavy guitar-driven rock. The opener "Unbelievers" is up there with the best for rock guitar openings while "Darker Days" and "We Lie" are prime for rock radio airplay. 'Incorruptible' does have gentle moments however, "Darker" featuring a piano backing bathed in Dale Thompson's piercing vocal delivery. The piano (Troy Thompson) appears on several tracks including the short (classical) piece "2nd Suite For Children". The ukulele also makes a guest appearance on the even shorter "Uke" and there is also a Pink Floyd-sounding moment on "Where You Want To Go". The band's reputation for a wide range of musical styles and direct, challenging lyrics are fully justified. On "Something I Need To Know" Dale sings, "This is something that I know/I want to share with every living soul." This he does very powerfully.
