Brian has been a big fan of music all his life, listening to a variety of both modern and retro music throughout his upbringing. This has left him a great pool of styles to pull inspiration from. The fact that he played both in churches and pubs early on in his career gives an idea of what the music is like: deep, meaningful and energetic enough to get a crowd going. There are three tracks on this single, two of which will be on his upcoming album, 'Shelter'. The first one is the title track, a funk instilled song with very heavy emphasis on the drums and the bass. The way this track mixes the funky melody and the gospel backing vocals is hugely enjoyable. The next two tracks have more of a straight gospel feel. The gospel backup-singers are back in both pieces, adding a sense of urgency and lovely harmonies in the correct places. If you're a fan of the hard working Irish troubadour then this single is for you.
