Bobby is the son of one of the leading figures in British reggae history, Dennis Bovell and this is Bobby's debut. It certainly is "EcleKtic" and is difficult to put in a specific genre with a gargantuan range of musical concepts. A great deal of Bobby's music is very heavily influenced by reggae (such as "The Way" featuring Ricardo Williams and "New"), but that is only the rhythm and general feel of most of the tracks, there are also consistent electronic sounds scattered throughout the music and plenty of morsels of hip-hop and R&B (like "Exchange" and "Hiding"). Bobby also makes frequent use of guest musicians, some of which are well known in the Christian circuit (Jahaziel in particular). The great thing about this album is that there is such a wide range of musical styles in the various songs, from hip-hop to R&B to rock. To sum up, this is a chilled out, pleasant album that's definitely worth a listen.
