The intention of the composer is that this 2008 album provides an hour of ambient music to act as a backdrop for times of prayer, and in particular to "...occupy that part of (his) mind that is easily distracted." The 60 minutes of music comes from six tracks each of 10 minutes, and these flow seamlessly from one to the next. Gentle chants are sprinkled across the recording and these sit nicely behind and support the synthesiser and chimes that provide the majority of the musical content. Bob Kilpatrick has achieved a vast amount inhis decades in music ministry, beginning as he did in the early 1970s performing with his wife Cindy. This CD represents another move in a progression that has taken him well away from his acoustic guitar/folk origins. It is all pleasing and non-challenging stuff and if you don't pray best in silence you may very well find this offering helpful.
