Saying you're influenced by the Beatles is setting the bar high. However Californian Bill Tucker has a point, to an extent. Witness jangly guitars and harmonies that reference George Harrison via Roger McGuinn. But it would be asking too much to think of this as the Christian Revolver. Tucker's songs of testimony are insistently melodic. The weakness is the lyrics. One might expect a certain simplicity from a recent convert - that's fine - the problem is an overdose of clichés. As such I doubt they would meet their goal of being "for today's spiritual seeker", as his entry on the CDBaby website claims. Yet who knows - growth in grace and perhaps a writing partnership may address that in future.
