At first this seemed slow to take off so I decided to cook breakfast whilst I listened. That was a mistake, for it wasn't long after that I was drawn into praise and worship. Bill Gaither's voice is still like balm to me and when Gloria speaks you feel the anointing. Michael English and Danny Gaither make a dynamic, hair-raising contribution. The aroma of burnt bacon and tomatoes brought the realisation that there was a decision to be made ~ turn off the music or the cooker! This collection of all time favourites include: "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", "My Jesus, I Love Thee", "When I Survey The Wonderous Cross", and a medley of "Old Rugged Cross", "Because He Lives' and "How Great Thou Art". "It Is Well With My Soul" is particularly outstanding and I would buy it for this alone. Sensitive backing vocals and musical arrangements make this an excellent production and thankfully the hymns are still phrased the way we all know them.

You are correct. It is impossible to do anything else while
this medley is playing. It is so powerful that it just
grabs you and holds you in its spell. It is a good thing
that it is not possible to wear out a CD or this one would
be worn out for sure. I think that "Because He Lives" is
one of the very best songs ever written.
