'Wake the World' is the third album from the Georgia-based pop trio but the first to make much of an impact outside of Georgia. In fact, Cross Rhythms radio are currently playing the infectious piece of pop "I Dare You". Kim, Denise and Amy claim to write "real music for real women." The production on this set is by Third Day's Mac Powel and truly the musicianship is stunning, the beautiful violin on "River Where Mercy Flows" being a particular standout. Each member has her own style to bring to the party, with soul the focus of "You Are Holy" and a moodier approach being adopted on "Hope Deferred". The solo vocal performance during "Favourite Thing" is quite sublime but the power of all three voices in unison on "Wake The World" help to push through the message of hope to the listener. The major single, "Love God, Serve Others, Share Your Story" is a real anthem and certainly the standout track on show here and "Jehovah Jireh" is their brave attempt to cover a recognisable classic. An impressive move up to the CCM big time.
