The first in a trilogy of EPs, this four-track release from UK worship group the Bean Baker Band gets off to a confident start with the brooding but uplifting "Strong And Courageous" which is sung from God's point of view with the aim of encouraging struggling believers. Baker has one of those classic modern worship voices and this, along with a tight bunch of musicians behind him, allows more contemplative praise numbers like "Light Of Love" and "Control" to ooze conviction and purpose. The thundering "Fight For You" closes proceedings in style and sums up the overarching theme of this promising debut whilst highlighting the ability of all involved to turn out something that is both spiritually and artistically edifying.
