The mainstream hitmakers reckon this, their fourth album, is their best yet. I wouldn't argue. Opener "Superhuman Touch" is a glorious '80s flashback with twinkly synths and an eminently singable chorus. Things then shift into a lower gear, and stay there for the majority of the rest of the album. The beautiful acoustic "Love Come Rescue" is touching and simple, and opens a fantastic three song run of songs where Athlete's faith is clearly evident in their lyrics. "Light The Way" opens with the line "I was lost" and leads into the chorus with "Keep it coming and I'll light the way home". Musically, this is not a radical departure from previous Athlete albums but what they do they do well, and their fanbase appreciate them for that. The brilliant closing track, "Rubik's Cube", equates life to the '80s puzzle, "1000's of answers, to one simple question, come take this weight off me now". This is a great album that deserves repeated listens to absorb the lyrics.

This is a superb album. A really interesting listen due to the layers of meaning in the lyrics. Definitely their best yet.
