As those who've read the recent Cross Rhythms article will know, Anthony is a black singer who, on this album at least, leans more towards white CCM, ala Michael W Smith, than the expected R&B/urban. From the moment the CD started playing, it completely hooked me in, with a superb eclectic mix of inspirational pop-rock songs. Expertly produced; each song is beautifully crafted with thought provoking lyrics. This album is as good as American CCM gets. Anthony has a wide variety of musical influences and it shows in the album from the Coldplay-influenced "Before You", to the beautiful ballad "Whatever I Can't Erase", and then to the soulful "Consumed" to the gospel flavoured "You're My God". All the styles blend together to produce an album of exceptional quality, and will remain on your CD player for quite some time.
