What do you do when you've got a famous dad who pastors a Dallas megachurch? You do your own thing to prove yourself, so you're not always thought of as "the son of so and so." Well, Anthony Evans, son of Dr Tony Evans, founder and president of the internationally syndicated radio and TV program The Urban Alternative and senior pastor of the 7,000 member Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas, tries his hand at 13 pop/R&B songs that he wrote (or co-wrote) on his nice-but-not-extraordinary debut. Yes, he's a capable singer, but, sorry, he just doesn't emotionally connect with the listener on this album. Maybe he will on future albums. For now, Evans should concentrate on his current gig: singing backup for Kirk Franklin.

Product Description
Anyone who has sung and toured with Kirk Franklin for two years must be worth listening to and Anthony Evans outstanding debut CD certainly is! Anthony co-wrote most of the songs and offers an eclectic mix ranging from smooth ballardry to hip-hop derived R&B. Production is top rate featuring today's finest, Kirk Franklin, Dan Muckala (Aaron Neville) and Shaun Shankel (Point of Grace). To quote Franklin Graham, 'What makes Anthony's music incredible is his voice. What make his message incredible is his walk with the Lord.'
