BET's Sunday Best talent search has launched many a gospel singing career over the years. Texan born Helms, describing herself as a "lifelong singer and worshipper", was one of those who dazzled judges including Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary with her dedication and passion in Season Four of the national programme. This seven-song collection is made up of the favourites Helms sang for the show and consist of covers of songs originally recorded by Whitney Houston, Mary Mary, Ricardo Sanchez and Tramaine Hawkins. Impressively, Andrea brings her own spin to the quality songs. From the opening Hammond organ intro of "The Heavens Are Telling" to The Preacher's Wife movie closer "I Love The Lord" Andrea imbues the material with a sense of worship. Standouts are the deeply personal and testimony filled "Changed" with very jazzy vibes and lovely piano work and the soulful "Because Of Who You Are" with some powerful voice and bass contributions. An impressive debut.
