This band from St Louis have been around for a few years but this is their first national release following an independent CD two years ago. However, An Epic No Less deliver engaging pop rock which manages to take in everything from modern worship to some elements that wouldn't be out of place on an Owl City album. They also remind me of bands like The Wrecking and Leeland. An Epic's lead single "Mercy Light" is a standout. Frontman Todd Larson's vocals perfectly complement the appealing voice of Hannah Chancellor while the production is sharp and punchy. I really enjoyed the powerful worship song "Your Love Is Louder" which, if it got heard, would connect with many a church congregation. The standard is pretty good throughout, with other above average cuts being "We Need You" and "One Word". All in all a strong debut.

Product Description
"I have never had a better friend in my life," says Todd Larson. In his eyes, Daniel Chancellor was the perfect person for the job as drummer, rounding out the electronica duo known as An Epic, No Less. The two, armed with a 1970s keyboard, a drum kit and their computers, are fulfilling the realization of a project that God spoke to Todd Larson as he laboured in an orphans' hostel in Uganda several years ago. Inspired by electronica bands like Paper Route and Postal Service, An Epic, No Less have created worship songs with pop sensibilities that are positively reeking of heavy rhythmic electronica. "We want to create genuine worship music; that's all," says Todd. "We simply want to sing, pray and encourage people. And it would be our honour, if by some way, God can use An Epic, No Less to help show the love of God."
In their infancy An Epic, No Less drew much attention from heavy-hitting record labels in the Christian market. In late 2011 the band signed its first record deal with BEC Recordings. The band also features Hannah Chancellor on keys and vocals, Britney Stutz on violin, and Neil Endicott from Tooth & Nail Records' own Run Kid Run on guitar. Echo Of Love is the debut release from An Epic, No Less, and they are ready to take their message on the road.
