Within a year or so of becoming a Christian I was writing for Buzz magazine and reviewing Amy's 'Age To Age' album which, as it turned out, was the album which established her as CCM's first genuine superstar. So it's a little nostalgic for this reviewer to be listening to Amy's first live recording in 25 years and hearing her newly minted rendition of 'Age To Age' classic "In A Little While". As it turns out, there are two versions of the song here, the live one and a nicely arranged studio version (rather oddly put on at the end of the album). For the two concerts in April 2006 in Fort Worth, Texas which sourced most of this 18-song CD Amy assembled a superlative band to accompany her and with such quality musicianship her renditions of gems like "Lead Me On", "Simple Things", "Every Heartbeat" and "Thy Word" all have an engaging, occasionally country-tinged freshness. I have long been bored with the song "Baby Baby" but judging from the rapturous reception it receives here it is still considered another jewel in Amy's crown. I don't really see the appeal of having a bonus four-song DVD packaged with this album, it's just a means of promotion for the full length DVD. Overall though, an impressive showcase for an exceptional pop talent.

WOW!! here it is, another live recording by Amy, after 25
years!! I have both live recordings from 1981, and 1983 live
footage concert of "Age to Age". Amy is backed by a
tremendous talented band, adding their creative vocals to
her most popular tunes. I luv this girl's singing, I never
tire of hearing a song by her; her music has blessed my
life!! Amy's top #1 of 1991 ,"Baby Baby" is among my top
fave songs;my fave mix of the song is "no gettin' over you
". It was nice to hear her sing "Stay for Awhile"; "Takes a
Little Time" was superbly performed!! great job!! I luved
hearing "Saved by Love" and "Ask Me". I just luv "Out in
the Open" from 2003; I applaud the performance. It's no
surprise that Amy rerecorded her 1982 hit "In a Little
While", definitely a song to be heard for this day and age.
"Eye to Eye" is heard at top notch!! another job well
done!! I was sad to hear of the tragic death of band member
Will Owsley; co-writer of hit "Simple Things". I am amazed
by the many talents of Kim Keyes; a gem in Amy's band. I
also have the live dvd for this live recording which sports
other live songs not included on this cd. GOD Bless! -Don
