Reviewed by Philippa McCracken Amy Grant could rightfully be called one the founders of contemporary Christian music, having been on the music scene since she was a teenager. Three decades later, the singer/songwriter has put together 19 of her best songs to lead her fans on a walk down memory lane. The tracks, all taken from previous albums, have been digitally remastered, but remain otherwise unchanged. Starting with the most recent, "Simple Thing", from the album of the same title, the album takes us back to "Old Man's Rubble", from Amy's first, self-titled album. 'Heart In Motion', her 1991-released album, is the most represented with a total of five songs, all of which made it into the pop chart top 20. The compilation contains a good variety of Amy's music, which could be enjoyed by fans new and old. If you own a lot of Amy Grant's previous albums and are looking for new music, this probably isn't the album for you, though these remastered versions give them a whole new freshness.
