I have this on original vinyl and cd; luv it! "Old Man's Rubble" and "FATHER" were the first 2 songs that I heard on ccm radio from this album. The songs on this album I consider to be basic and simple; tho the 2 songs I mentioned afore stand out. "What A Difference YOU'VE Made" could've been played on pop stations as Ronnie Milsaps vers. was also played on them. Amy's vocal style has developed since this album; she puts that certain edge on the line of a song, or certain words. The Myrrh label opened up a jewel box when they signed Amy to their label;this first lp of hers let the world know, that Amy Grant can sing!! Amy has become a household name without even trying; like she sings "Count Your Blessings". I believe the world is a better place because of Amy and her gift of music. GOD Bless! -Don
I obtained a cassette tape version of this album when it was reissued in 1980: I was a practicing Catholic, about to be a senior in high school, but my personal relationship with God was more important to me than the denomination into which I was born (Catholicism), and the songs of this album were INCREDIBLY meaningful to me. I still have a copy of this album on CD, and though I don't often listen to it, when I do I still find meaning in the music.
