The All Souls Orchestra conducted by Noel Tredinnick with soprano Joanne Lunn. With a pedigree such as this it will come as no surprise that this is an excellent recording. The programme is a mixture of Scottish tunes, praise songs and traditional hymns, classical and contemporary pieces, with the audience providing congregational backing for the sung pieces, lead by Joanne Lunn. The selection will satisfy those who enjoy classical music, while being accessible to those who are less familiar with this genre. The live recording preserves the enjoyment of the concert and allows the listener "to experience the inspiration of an outstanding musical and spiritual event." More importantly, the 1998 concert tour contributed funds for Bibles and Bible storybooks to over 12,000 disadvantaged children in Siberia and the Far East of Russia as part of an overall children's care programme. So not only a strong musical event, but also making a wider contribution in collaboration with The National Bible Society of Scotland.
