A nice memento of this pioneering event at the Royal Albert Hall which has fused orchestral music and a desire to worship God. The All Souls Orchestra and the Gala Prom Praise Choir are enthusiastically conducted by Noel Tredinnick as they tackle a wide range of material from Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" and Walton's "Crown Imperial" through to Keith Getty's and Stuart Townend's "Love Of God" and Charles Wesley's "I Know That My Redeemer Lives". Stuart Towned and Chris Eaton are amongst the special guests though it's the soloists Heidi Pegler and Gerard Brooks who most impress. Not an album for classical music purists or indeed for those wanting a contemporary take on worship music, this is still an enjoyable 2 CD celebration of an event whose popularity will ensure it continues for years more.
