For a live album, this performance is so well polished it is slippery. In fact the only thing that suggests it isn't recorded in a studio is the rapturous applause at times. There is a diverse mix of tracks here from the classic gospel of "O Happy Day" (yes, again) and the modern worship of "We Are Walking In The Light Of God", to the authentic traditionally African tracks such as "Noimusanyu". The album shows up the 15 year history of the choir by including older, previous members doing lead vocals with the younger children backing. There are also notable names playing including Terl Bryant and Ben Castle. It is obvious this is for Western consumption, and it can be so cute it would be well placed on a Disney soundtrack. However, the children's voices lack the range to create the stunning harmonies of African vocals, and "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands" brings back nightmares of school assemblies.
