Ladysmith Black Mambazo set to release 'Songs From A Zulu Farm'
THE REVERED South African vocal group Ladysmith Black Mambazo have a new album released through Proper Records on 7th February. 'Songs From A Zulu Farm' features songs that older members of the group would have heard and sung themselves as kids growing up on Zulu farms in the 1940s and 50s. Said the group's leader Joseph Shabalala about the inspiration behind the album, "Your roots are who you are. It is very common for people to move back to their childhood home later in life. This is true for many people I know. I go home to see the sights I've known since I was a baby. I see that field and I see my father and my mother standing with me as a little boy. I love going home because it is just that.home."
