Mavis Staples returns with 'You Are Not Alone' set
VETERAN gospel diva Mavis Staples follows up her 2008 Grammy nominated album 'Live: Hope At The Hideout' with a new project, 'You Are Not Alone' (Anti). The project was produced by Jeff Tweedy and features such songs as the Rev Gary Davis' "I Belong To The Band", John Fogerty's "Wrote A Song For Everyone" and the song "You Don't Knock" written by her father Pop Staples and first recorded with the Staple Singers for VeeJay Records in 1961.
