Underoath quit Warped Tour amid lurid accusations
CHRISTIAN metal band Underoath have quit the Warped Tour. No specific reason has been given by the band other than the need to "focus on our friendship." In its current issue Kerrang! magazine report that Underoath's "sudden departure was prompted by tension caused as a result of onstage comments made by NOFX frontman Fat Mike. In last week's K!, we reported that Fat Mike had been baiting the band, mocking their religious beliefs, both onstage and off. Warped Tour gig-goers have also been alleging in messageboard posts that in Pittsburgh on July 27, during NOFX's set, Fat Mike claimed that Underoath vocalist Spencer Chamberlain had been drinking and using cocaine on NOFX's tour bus.
"'I can 100 per cent confirm that there was no drug use by anyone in
the band during the Warped Tour,' Underoath's manager Randy Nichols tells K!.
'The situation with Fat Mike, while frustrating at times, was not
enough to push the guys to leave the tour. He actually became friends
with several of the guys in Underoath during the tour and even called
them on their drive home to make sure they were okay and to be sure
that he didn't have anything to do with it.'"
Favourite music band. Can't miss a possibility to visit their concert! Would anyone join me in Denver http://www.underoathconcerttickets.com/underoath-april-03-20 16-in-denver-co/ ?
