Karen Clark-Sheard weighs in with third album for Elektra.
ONE OF the most popular of the new wave of gospel divas Karen Clark-Sheard has released her third album, 'The Heavens Are Telling', on Elektra Records. It entered the Top Gospel Albums chart at number three. The album includes guest vocals from Mary Mary and Missy Elliott and was produced by Donald Lawrence. The project also includes six live tracks recorded at husband Pastor J Drew Sheard's church, The Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church Of God In Christ in Detroit. One of the standout tracks is a cover of Jill Scott's "You Love Me" recorded as a duet with daughter Kierra "Kiki" Sheard, who recently signed a solo recording contract with EMI Gospel.
