US radio programme 20 The Countdown has recounted the story behind the hit for Mark Schultz

THE AMERICAN syndicated radio programme 20 The Countdown, presented by John Rivers and featured each week on Cross Rhythms radio programme, recounted the intriguing story behind the recent US hit for Mark Schultz I Am Not Alone. It seems some years previously the singer/songwriter was alone (he thought), putting the finishing touches to the anthemic chorus to the song. Suddenly he heard a noise, looked up and found the two church janitors dancing along to the opus. They hadn't have quit an hour earlier but had stayed on to hear the music. Now years later, the whole of US Christian radio land is seemingly dancing too. The song was recently number one in the American CCM charts.
