Dave & Jess Ray release EP to aid people in southern Sudan
A SIX-SONG EP by husband and wife duo Dave & Jess Ray has been released to raise funds for Aid Sudan. All proceeds from the sales of 'Music For The Radio' will go towards purchasing hand-held radios, which will enable people in southern Sudan to access the Gospel, as well as vital community information. The project was produced by Scott Williamson (Lincoln Brewster, FFH). One of the songs on the EP is "Asinita", inspired by a Sudanese woman who impacted the couple during a mission trip to Sudan in 2008. The Rays visited a village that had been decimated by a tribal raid. Asinita, wife of a local pastor, had material possessions consisting of only six chickens, one of which she gave to the mission team as a parting gift. Based in Houston, Dave & Jess Ray lead worship at Tallowood Baptist Church.

I am very proud to know this couple. They are a wonderful, very talented and caring Christian couple who have dedicated their lives to Christ in a very meaningful way. I commend them on their efforts in providing aid to those in Sudan as well as in their own community.
I pray that they will continue to receive the blessings of God in all of their efforts as they serve the Lord in such a caring and meaningful way.
