BRITISH CCM singer Sal Solo sang for Pope John Paul II during his recent visit to Poland. Sal was invited by the Polish Universities Foundation to close with an open-air concert before 15,000 people. At a papal mass Sal also sang his famous '80's hit "San Damiano" with Polish national choirs. The song reached number 15 in the British charts in 1982 but was number one in Poland for six weeks. This summer Sal will be singing at charismatic conferences in Birmingham and Wales.
