Plus One dump boy band sound and re-emerge as rock trio.
AMERICA's Plus One, once described as a Christian version of boy bands N-Sync and the Backstreet Boys, have re-emerged as a rock trio. The group, who have lost Jason Perry and Jeremy Mhire from the original Atlantic Records line up, have their first rock-orientated project 'Exodus' produced by the Newsboys frontman Peter Furler, The band's lead singer Nate Cole told Christian Marketing magazine, "We had a lot of reasons to be bitter. At the same time, we felt that God still had a purpose, even though it was hard. That was why we called the album 'Exodus'. The book of Exodus was a departing we had guys departing, switched labels and we departed from our original sound. But it was also about God delivering his people. Now, we are absolutely having fun again."
