Disciple guitarist Micah Sannan undergoes surgery
ONE OF the guitarists in Knoxville-based rock band Disciple, Micah Sannan, went on the band's website recently to explain a serious illness which affected him in January. Dry sockets in his jaw lead to an abscess/infection which necessitated major surgery. He wrote, "I am in the recovery process for the next eight weeks and a plethora of pills and four times a day I'm hooking up to an at-home intravenous antibiotic. Eating is still a bit of a task because of the healing jaw muscles and half my face on the right side of my mouth and gums are still numb. . . Please know that I am blessed and well and so thankful for such loyal friends, fans and family taking good care of me. Hopefully I'll be back out playing shows soon."
