American trade organisation GMA sell HQ, reduce debt
LEADERS of the financially threatened Gospel Music Association (GMA) say the organisation is "on the right track" after posting a profit for the first time in three years. The music industry Association has reduced its debt by $564,000 and sold its Colorado Springs headquarters, moving into free space in the Provident Music Group building in Franklin, Tennessee. Recently GMA announced that the 42nd Annual Dove Awards will be held for the first time outside Nashville and is set to take place at Atlanta's Fox Theatre on 20th April. Meanwhile, artists Johnny Cash, DeGarmo & Key, The Golden Gate Quartet and disc jockey Bill 'Hoss' Allen are due to be inducted into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame on 24th January. The induction ceremony will be held in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
