Reunion joins with Geffen Records to promote and distribute over 60 titles
US CHRISTIAN label Reunion have signed an exclusive worldwide distribution deal with Geffen Records, until their recent acquisition by MCA one of the most successful independent pop labels of the 80's. The agreement requires Geffen to promote and distribute 60 titles from the Reunion catalogue of albums and videos, as well as future releases from its roster of 15 acts.
The first Geffen-distributed album will be by Michael W Smith, who recently received a gold disc for sales in excess of 500,000 for his 1983 release The Michael W Smith Project'. Smith's latest album 'Go West Young Man' which has already seen extensive promotion and significant sales in the Christian market, was distributed to mainstream retail outlets in late January 1991. Other releases to follow will include albums by Rick Cua, The Archers, Rich Mullins and Kim Hill.
