Raymond & Co surprise winners of gospel award at recent MOBOs.
BRITISH gospel group Raymond & Co triumphed over American gospel stars Michelle Williams (Destiny's Child) and Fred Hammond to scoop Best Gospel Act at the 2004 MOBO awards held in London in September. The surprise win comes three years after the London-based five-piece won a MOBO for Best Unsigned Act and the group winning a contract with Integrity Music in a joint GMTV and Voice magazine Gospel Challenge. Their album 'Playing Games' has been released to critical acclaim. Founder member Isaiah-Raymond Dyer thanked God for "the chance to represent UK gospel to the extent that we could win [this award]" and thanked his record company for "pushing our sounds beyond the walls of the church."

A friend gave me a Playing Games CD, a few months ago, this was the first I've heard of this gospel group and I loved it (still do). My children love it also. Your music should be played all over the world, it praises God and also
you sing about things that people all around the world have to deal with like in the song, "God says no." I thank God and thank you for Raymond & Co. and look forward to more of your music.
