Rachael Lamps releases eponymous album, talks of personal traumas.
19 YEAR OLD Nashville-based CCM singer Rachael Lampa has told journalists that her new self-titled album, produced by Tommy Simms, has been influenced in part by traumatic personal experiences. "I was in so much pain," Lampa said of a close relative's suicide attempt and her parents' difficult divorce. "The turning point came when my mom turned to me and said, 'Rachael, God will not waste any of this pain.' So I wrote about it. I have so much I want to talk about." Lampa wrote or co-wrote all of the lyrics and some of the music - a first for the teen. The album 'Rachael Lampa' is described as having "a little more rock and funk feel to it than her previous efforts."
